As devoted parents, we started Wallaby Kids to
facilitate more quality time with our children during their formative years. It is our hope to share our good fortune with other parents and
families, contributing in some small part to child development awareness and
curbing the rise of child obesity rates with a firm commitment to
encouraging parents'
active participation in child development,
physical education, and bicycle safety.
We're convinced that a family which plays together -- stays together, and
that as parents, promoting a physically active lifestyle for our
youngsters should be a national priority. Exercise and physical activity are as
central to healthy child development as as are math, reading, writing, eating
and sleeping. Sports such as bicycling (following appropriate safety measures
like wearing a helmet and pads), basketball, cross-country
skiing, dancing, aerobics and soccer, played regularly, are not only fun, but
also provide the very foundation for a balance of physical and mental well
being in adulthood. To these ends, we are committed to combing the internet and
other resources to bring you - the Parents of our future- the best that the
